Welcome! I’m Kimberly Kay, a photographer based in Bend, Oregon, and the heart behind the lens. I’ve always been drawn to storytelling, honest connection, and the way a single photograph can bring you back to a feeling in an instant.
For more than two decades, I’ve been documenting weddings, families, couples, and motherhood in a way that feels natural, unforced, and timeless. While Bend and Central Oregon are home, I also serve families along the Oregon Coast, allowing me to photograph stories from the mountains to the sea. I believe the most meaningful images come from presence, not perfection, and from allowing people the space to simply be themselves.
Whether we’re surrounded by Central Oregon’s wide-open landscapes, chasing the light along the rugged Oregon Coast, creating in my light-filled lifestyle studio, or working in the comfort of your home, my approach is always the same: relaxed, thoughtful, and gently guided. Nothing rushed, nothing overly posed—just real moments as they unfold.
My work is about more than photographs. It’s about preserving a season, holding onto a feeling, and creating images you’ll return to for years—not just to see, but to remember.

My Approach to Editing & AI
Let’s talk about editing for a moment....
Every image you receive from Kimberly Kay Photography is carefully hand-edited in my signature style. That includes color correction, exposure adjustments, artistic finishing, black-and-white conversions, and the little details that help bring your story to life.
I also understand that life happens. Temporary blemishes, distracting flyaway hairs, a dress caught by the wind, a scratch, bruise, or an unfortunate camera angle that creates something that wasn’t really there—those are all things I may thoughtfully address during the editing process.
What I do not offer is AI-generated alterations that change who you are.
I will not reshape bodies, alter facial features, create unrealistic skin textures, change your appearance, or transform you into a version of yourself that exists only through filters and artificial enhancements.
My belief is simple: there is a difference between polishing reality and replacing it.
The families, couples, mothers, babies, and individuals who step in front of my camera are already enough. My goal is to create beautiful, timeless photographs that celebrate who you are—not who a computer thinks you should be.
