How do I book a session?
Booking is simple. Just reach out through my contact page, email, or give me a call to check availability and go over the details. To officially reserve your date, a signed photography agreement and a 50% non-refundable retainer are required. Please note — dates cannot be held without both. No exceptions.

What should we wear?
Wear outfits that make you feel confident and comfortable. Solid colors, minimal patterns, and coordinating (but not matching) outfits work best for group photos. I'm happy to provide styling tips! I offer a full newborn client closet, maternity and postpartum dress options with many of my photography packages.

What if the weather is bad, or I need to cancel my session?
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, don’t worry—we’ll reschedule your session for another available day or time that works for both of us. If you or someone in your household is ill, or if you need to cancel for another reason, please let me know as soon as possible. While all retainer fees are non-refundable, I do allow one complimentary reschedule. If you need to reschedule more than once, the original retainer will be kept as liquidated damages, and a new retainer will be required to book a new date.

When is the best time to schedule a maternity session?
The ideal time for maternity photos is between 28 and 34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully round and you’re still relatively comfortable.

When is the best time to schedule a newborn session?
Newborn sessions are best scheduled within the first 7 to 14 days after birth, when baby is still very sleepy and flexible—ideal for those sweet, curled-up poses. That said, this timeframe is just a general guideline, not a strict rule. I also offer beautiful sessions for older newborns, so don’t worry if things don’t go exactly as planned. However, to ensure availability, it’s important to reserve your tentative due date on my calendar between your first and second trimester. I only take on a limited number of newborn sessions each month so I can be essentially “on call” for you when the time comes. Booking early helps secure your spot, and once baby arrives, we’ll confirm the exact session date together.

What safety and hygiene precautions do you take in your photography studio to protect the health of newborns during a session?
The safety and health of your baby are my top priorities. I take several precautions to maintain a clean, calm, and safe environment in my studio:
• Thorough Cleaning: All fabrics, wraps, blankets, and props are washed or sanitized after each session using baby-safe detergents and cleaners.
• Hand Hygiene: I wash my hands thoroughly before every session and use hand sanitizer frequently throughout.
• Vaccination: I am up to date on all standard vaccinations recommended for working with newborns. (Note: I do not receive the COVID vaccine, but I did receive the initial vaccine in 2020.)
• Wellness Policy: I reschedule sessions if I’m feeling unwell or have been exposed to illness, and I kindly ask families to do the same.
• Limited Studio Traffic: Sessions are by appointment only, and I limit the number of people in the studio to reduce potential exposure to germs.
• Temperature & Comfort: The studio is kept warm and cozy to keep your baby comfortable, and I monitor their cues carefully throughout the session to ensure they’re never placed in unsafe or stressful positions.
• Experience & Training: I’ve had years of experience handling and posing newborns safely. Your baby’s comfort, support, and natural positioning always come first.
My goal is to provide a beautiful, peaceful, and above all safe experience for both baby and parents.
